Cubs, Kittens and Calf

I took Aidan to the Toronto Zoo and he was determined to see all the cubs, kittens and calf.  It was hot as H.E.Double hockey stick, (as Wallace would say), but I must admit it was worth the visit.  There was lots of walking but we also took advantage of the zoo mobile.

From top, clockwise: Giant Pandas, lions Cubs, Lynx and Juno the Polar cub.

Happy Birthday to my little guy

Love this guy with his sense of humour, sensitivity, and smarts.  Who can't love this adorable face.....okay maybe minus the knife.

Happy Birthday!  Love you lots.

Remembering my Dad

Remembering my Dad on his bday.

I remember inviting him to go to Canada's Wonderland with my friends.  Just thinking he might enjoy just hanging out.  Didn't expect him to pay for all my friends' park admission,  though.  There was easily 6-8 of us.  That's just the kind of man he was.  Generous.

Missing him.

Here's my dad with my niece Michelle when she was a baby.

7| Clouds.  I love clouds and take a photo every chance I get. Coincidentally, it's my Dad's bday today, so I'd like to think he's up there looking down at me and my family with a big smile.

This was a sunset with heavenly clouds taken when I was in Quebec City last week. #fmsphotoaday

FMS Photo a Day | Catching up

I thought that the July prompt would be easier, as it's open to any prompts starting with the Alphabet of the day.   I actually found it more challenging and was not able to participate, as much.

Here's to my July Collage.

Quebec City - Day 1

It took awhile for me to unwind and to get into vacation mode.  Just ask one of my co-worker who I owe sushi for sending emails on my first day of vacation.    I spent sometime at the gym while Aidan and Wallace went to the pool.  Found it energizing, it's been awhile since I've actually worked out at the gym or fitness room.

We went for dinner at Le Hobbit Resto-  excellent food and service.   I tried  some of the Elk Steak, which was surprisingly good.  It wasn't gamey, which I thought it was going to be.  The Ceviche northern bay scallops and shrimp in gazpacho oil and fresh herbs was excellent.  FRied calamari is a fave.

Afterwards, we tool a walk just outside the old Quebec City Walls.   Beautiful night for a walk.

Being in Quebec City remind me of Paris.   I know it's not quite Paris, but it has that European feeling.

Happy Canada Day

My family migrated to Canada in 1976 with the help of my Aunts.  So proud to be a Canadian.  Happy Canada Day!

Happy Day

Sun is bright and oh what a beautiful day!   You would have liked this day, just basking in the sun or swimming at High Park.  Thinking of you....on your bday!

FMS Photo | June 23 - Smashing Seven

I've been participating in the FMS Photo a Day group for a few years now and my Photo of the day on June 23| Far was included in the Smashing Seven.  There were So many fabulous photos chosen that day. It was an honour to be included.

23| Far.  Stairs going into Taylor Creek Park from Stan Wadlow.  It's a far drop.  #Fmsphotoaday.  Bottom left
